Rocky Mount is alive with “The Sound of Music.” Spend an evening with the Tar River Orchestra as we perform beloved classics from the musicals of Rodgers and Hammerstein, including South Pacific, Carousel, Oklahoma and The Sound of Music. This promises to be “Some Enchanted Evening” as we bring to life some of the greatest music from the golden age of the American Musical Theater. Also, on the program will be music written by Richard Rodgers for the post WWII television documentary “Victory at Sea,” as well as our young artist concerto competition winner, violinist, Stephanie Suedbeck.
